Product designer, researcher, and strategist with seven years of expertise in educational technology. Passionate about creating impactful education products that drive social change and promote equity.
As Product Manager at Skills U, I drive our product strategy to deliver impactful solutions for learning, training, and development. I help shape our product roadmap, making decisions grounded in the science of learning, market needs and business priorities. I routinely engage with clients, partners, and experts, and support our growth and marketing teams in positioning our platform effectively. A large part of my role involves working hand-in-hand with a cross-cultural team of designers and engineers to ensure clear communication, shared understanding, and a high-quality build process. This environment has deepened my approach to intentional, transparent communication and ensured that every perspective is considered. My daily work centers on deeply understanding the needs of our diverse users - corporate clients, universities, training institutions, instructors, learners, industry experts, coaches and mentors - through ongoing dialogue and feedback. By integrating these perspectives, I help ensure our platform addresses real-world challenges and unlocks the true power of human potential.
I teach the UX Research module in NTU PACE’s SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) in UX and Product Management. I guide learners to plan and conduct UX research and to define users’ needs with rigour and empathy. As part of this module, learners practice qualitative and quantitative methods, stakeholder interviewing, synthesis, and turning insights into actionable product decisions that balance user value and business outcomes.
I worked primarily on Zendora, a gamified learning app that offers engaging learning activities for primary school students in Singapore. Zendora complements the core curriculum and in-person lessons at Zenith Academy. I played a key role in refining Zendora’s features from a pure-online learning platform to a hybrid app, acting as the bridge between the Curriculum and Product teams. I spearheaded a research culture in Product, conducting pilot tests and user feedback sessions to optimize the app’s effectiveness and user experience for both students and their parents. In addition, as a member of the Strategy team, I conducted in-depth analyses of business challenges, synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to develop strategic recommendations to drive Zendora’s growth and Zenith Academy’s success. I also led research initiatives on emerging EdTech trends, identifying tools and strategies to enhance Zenith's offerings and maintain its competitive edge in the Singapore education market.
I led a team in developing an innovative technology-based learning platform aimed at enhancing partnerships between learning institutions and industry leaders. As part of the research team headed by Dr. LG Pee from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, I developed the research strategy, conducted comprehensive secondary research, defined the project's scope and crafted targeted research questions to address the challenge of strengthening industry-institution partnerships. I led a collaboration with two engineers for successful implementation of the fully-functional platform. I spearheaded several research initiatives, including interviews and usability tests with actual and potential users, analyzing data to derive actionable insights and iteratively refine the platform design. I also presented evidence-based recommendations, translating user feedback into strategic design improvements that enhanced the platform’s effectiveness and user experience. As part of this project, I designed and created three learning websites, acquiring skills related to typography, UI, iconography, and interactions using industry-standard tools. I also wrote a related literature review entitled "Digital skilling of working adults: A systematic review", published in Computers & Education in September 2024.
As an Educational Technology Officer, I played a pivotal role in harnessing educational technologies to enrich learning and teaching experiences across Singapore schools. Our mission was to catalyze innovation and effective application of edtech in Singapore’s education system, particularly in the post-pandemic landscape. In my role, I provided thought leadership in educational technology application, collaborating with a team of officers to reconceptualize technology-enhanced learning in the post-pandemic world. In particular, I developed and implemented comprehensive capacity-building programs for school leaders, key personnel, and teachers, focusing on effective utilization of educational technology and e-Pedagogy to enhance student learning outcomes. We redesigned teacher training offerings, integrating educational technologies and new pedagogical approaches. I was also part of the team that communicated policy decisions and educational technology strategies to public stakeholders, including parents, students, and education researchers, fostering transparency and engagement in Singapore’s edtech transformation.
