As the Director of Talent Acquisition at Omaha Public Power District (OPPD), I am passionate about transforming the utility industry with innovative and diverse talent. Over the course of my career in human capital management, I have designed and implemented multiple and effective people programs that align with the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of the company. I have a proven track record of leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results in talent identification, engagement, assessment, and acquisition. I leverage my consulting, analytical, and leadership skills to optimize the talent acquisition function and integrate it into the total talent management philosophy. I am also a LinkedIn Certified Professional and a regular contributor to leading publications on topics such as recruiting, employment branding, and organizational development.
OPPD has some lofty transformational goals for itself and I'm stoked to be able to help out. The premium placed on strategy and discipline is awesome, support for thoughtful change is abundant, and I geek out when I think about the industry I'm able to serve nowadays. Call it the trifecta! As for what I do? I'm responsible for the architecture, engineering, operation, and iteration of the Talent Acquisition function at the District and integrating into our Total Talent Management philosophy alongside my peers and our team. From identification, to engagement, to assessment, and acquisition the program has been thoughtfully designed using a mix of best in class methodologies and tools. Not to mentioned resourced with a bevvy of critical thinkers who have a deep understanding of what drives top performing companies. In totality, it's a radical new way of thinking about Talent Acquisition through the lens of a Total Talent Management philosophy and I'm excited about the prospects of this journey. #TheHiringMachine #AlloftheCandidates
