Civility Isnβt Optional β It Is Your Competitive Advantage You know firsthand that stress, conflict, and constant demands can drain your energy and damage your culture. You also know that when civility is strong, your team communicates better, performs at a higher level, and creates a workplace people actually want to be part of. You deserve support that helps you manage stress, navigate tough conversations, and bring more calm and respect into your daily life at work and at home. Instead of just βgetting throughβ difficult moments, you can build skills that help you respond with clarity, confidence, and **civility. If you are ready to improve how people treat each other when things get tense, you will find tools and strategies you can immediately apply in Rudeness Rehab: Reclaiming Civility in the Workplace and Your Home Space (Indie Books, 2025). This book is designed to help you strengthen relationships, protect your well-being, and create environments where you and the people around you can thrive. When your job feels like a major source of stress, you should not have to figure it out alone. You and your team can build resilience, communicate more effectively, and work through conflict in ways that actually improve how your workplace functions and collaborates. If you lead a team, you can create a culture where people feel respected, supported, and able to do their best workβno matter the industry: financial services, healthcare, technology, or beyond. Your investment in civility becomes a direct investment in performance, retention, and long-term success. Outside of work, you still need space to recharge. Whether that is time on a motorcycle, skis, or bike, or even learning a new language one phrase at a time, you benefit when your life includes moments that restore your energy and perspective. If you or your team could use a reset, a new way forward, or practical strategies for managing stress and conflict, please reach out today to learn how I can help. You and your team may benefit from a customized presentation or coaching/consulting to better understand what is happening and what can help you make a change. As a professional speaker and executive coach, I work with clients to improve their stress resilience and achieve greater life balance. All of my work is provided both in person and virtually, depending upon client location and interests. I provide leadership assessments and leadership coaching to individuals and teams from managers to C-suite executives. Services are tailored to the needs of the client. I integrate assessments from Hogan Assessments and MRG (Management Research Group) whenever possible as I think that clients benefit from data/evidence-based feedback to guide them in self-improvement. I am most passionate now about helping individuals, teams and groups become more aware of the profoundly negative impact of incivility/rudeness in our society. People underestimate the harm that these behaviors are having on individuals' well-being and on companies' business outcomes. I enjoy coaching, training and speaking on these topics and the impact of "bad behaviors" in the workplace.
