As Head of Engineering, I lead our engineering staff, set strategic direction, and drive daily operations. I align technical execution with business goals, support team growth, and ensure we deliver quality software efficiently, while staying hands-on with architecture decisions and engineering standards.
My day-job role is to help the technical part of Omni grow. That means clearing roadblocks for developers, building new processes to support progress, or setting guidelines to keep work efficient. I partner with the team to solve problems before they escalate, spot potential issues early, and make sure everyone has what they need to succeed. My role is part strategist, part problem-solver: I help turn ideas into action, keep the team aligned, and ensure we’re always moving forward.
Ever since my early teens, I have been passionate about designing and writing code, a period that now seems like a distant memory. In my professional journey, I have deliberately chosen not to limit myself to a single area of expertise. Instead, I have adopted a versatile Jack of all Trades role across the diverse teams with which I have had the pleasure of collaborating. My wide-ranging interests encompass graphic and digital design, front and backend development, product management, strategic planning, and API design. This multidisciplinary approach has enabled me to adapt quickly and contribute effectively to various projects, ensuring their success. As a Solution Developer in the Monitoring Solution team at SEB, I play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining an advanced self service portal for ordering monitoring on systems for the bank's IT infrastructure and applications. WeI develop and implement monitoring solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability of critical systems. We collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify monitoring requirements and design appropriate solutions. In addition to my technical responsibilities, I actively contribute to improving our team's ways of working and enhancing the developer experience. I take on some Scrum Master duties, facilitating agile processes and promoting efficient collaboration within the team. This aspect of my role involves organizing and leading sprint planning sessions, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, as well as identifying and removing obstacles to team productivity.
In my present role as a Tech Lead Manager, I shoulder the responsibility for the strategic direction and daily management of a team of software engineers and designers.
