I bring over 25 years of banking experience, with a primary focus on commercial lending, and more than a decade of expertise in implementing and optimizing loan origination software. - Directed the commercial and consumer credit functions, managing the bank’s $325 million commercial loan portfolio with a focus on regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and portfolio performance. - Spearheaded the implementation and scaling of Abrigo’s Sageworks lending platform across lending, credit, and operations teams, ensuring seamless integration with the bank’s core operating system. - Designed and deployed streamlined workflows for consumer and commercial lending, training a team of six credit analysts and commercial underwriters to maximize platform efficiency and adoption. - Played a critical role on the acquisition team, leading the deployment of Sageworks at a newly acquired bank and delivering comprehensive training for all sales and support staff. - Directed credit analysis and quality assurance processes, preparing in-depth evaluations for large, complex, and high-risk loans, and assigning ratings for loan loss reserve analyses. - Identified and managed problem loans, making strategic recommendations for quarterly review loan lists presented to the Board of Directors. - Conducted portfolio studies, including past-due reports, credit concentration analyses, and stress testing models, to support executive and board-level decision-making. - Delivered detailed reports and insights for the Board of Directors, focusing on credit quality, compliance, and recommended policy changes to enhance operations.
Helped to grow the subscriber base of a hosted telecommunications provider that served small to medium size businesses primarily in the Southeast. The company was acquired by FluentStream in 2022.
- Developed a strategic business plan and a 36 month financial projection to help acquire a $6MM line of credit for initial capital from a regional bank. - Created a company policy and procedures manual to outline lending policy and credit underwriting philosophy, collections procedures and branch operations. - Formulated an overall brand strategy and focus centered around a strong customer service culture. Created a company mission, vision and values to guide the brand strategy on a day-to-day basis. - Identified four branch locations, negotiated lease terms and structure with landlords and oversaw the layout, design and build-out and of each office. - Interviewed multiple software, insurance, marketing and advertising companies to establish key relationships that support the brand mission and profitability. - Sourced, interviewed, recruited and trained all management and support staff to run four branch locations.
