John Hartofilis is an Associate Video Coordinator - Phantom Tech at the NBA (National Basketball Association). Working within SDOC (Social, Digital & Original Content), John frequently travels as part of an NBAE crew that documents games, practices, and off-court events in an effort to showcase the League to a global audience. Based in New York City, John recently graduated from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in Downtown Manhattan. Between classes, John served as an Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach at his alma mater, Xavier High School, and hosted his daily basketball podcast, "Gen Z Hoops" where he interviewed 365+ players, coaches, and executives from across the sports industry. Phantom Technician Responsibilities: - Administer slow-motion support on-site at league-wide matchups throughout the 2023-24 season. - Assemble the military-grade Phantom Flex4K Camera and its corresponding accessories. - Create “best of” slow-motion compilations to be distributed as soon as possible postgame. - Designate clips and highlights for immediate publishing to @nba social channels on gameday. - Manage the Super Slo-Mo footage from the point of capture to its delivery to our teams and partners. - Tech for legendary shooters who have documented NBA History dating back to The Last Dance.
