The "Valley of Death" for new innovations is real. My profile banner pic is a reminder that starting new things isn't always easy. It is a photo of the road from Bahrain to Riyadh. A good friend and I drove down this road when we were expanding cloud computing to the public sector in new countries. It was at a time when national level CIOs would interrupt your pitch and tell you they had a study from McKinsey telling them enterprises would never adopt cloud. On the Road to Did you will pass Don't, Can't, and Shouldn't. Keep going. I have balanced 25 years in the public and private sectors with an emphasis on technology, strategy, and digital transformations. Like Dr. Richard Hamming suggested, I have an open door policy: https://forms.gle/Un1Bpfvth5T1CGX2A
It's like I'm 12 again, running the cash register at Frank Schrable's paint store on Saturdays: the most responsibility I ever had in my life.
