Led the Core Product group consisting of 4 product teams: Customer Experience, Users, Dashboard & Interfaces, Mobile. I reported directly to the CTO until the VP Engineering joined in March 2024 and I wore many hats across Product, Design, and Data; I spent about 20% of my time still writing code. - Managed 4 engineering managers and some floating staff engineers; 2 managers had transitioned from IC roles and I was responsible for their onboarding and success as new managers - Created Mercury's first levelling framework for the engineering department and led its distribution and enforcement across 200+ engineers - Formed a tiger team within Core Product to build monetization capabilities across our product and supported integrating the initial set of entitled/monetized products into our SaaS bundles (Mercury Plus & Mercury Pro) - Acted as interim Head of Product in my first 6 months in the role and led planning and strategy for the group; established the 2024 high-level roadmap for the Core Product group
I helped establish product groups (Core Product, Banking, Growth) in response to outgrowing our organizational structure due to hyper-growth. I also continued to directly manage the Customer Experience product team with 7 ICs at its peak.
