My strongest interests involve connecting environmental chemistry of pharmaceuticals, personal care products and other emerging contaminants with toxicology and the etiology of biological disruption. After completing my B.S. degree I worked at the University of Colorado at Denver researching endocrine disruption in fish exposed to trace residues of persistent organic contaminants. After completing an M.Sc. degree at Kingston University London, I now continue researching emerging issues relating to environmental chemistry and toxicology while pursuing a PhD. Such research avenues include assessment of the spatial distribution, partition, bioaccumulation and adsorption to microplastic particles of emerging contaminants in English rivers.
At the University of Colorado Denver, research focused on emerging eco-human health issues of emerging contaminants, particularly endocrine disruption in suckerfish from Boulder Creek (Boulder, CO, USA). Here I developed extensive experience in laboratory techniques within the field of histology, environmental studies, and interdisciplinary research
