Developing a programme of multifaith very local community activity encouraging neighbours of different faiths and ethnicities to engage, build trust and then take on issues in their communities. This involves administering a grant fund and setting up community partnerships.
Supporting Spurgeons projects across the UK as they developed local fundraising initiatives, training them in fundraising techniques and developing corporate resources, marketing and merchandise to support this.
I led a small team who provided expertise on fundraising, community development, building development and heritage preservation/renovation for the Church of England, its interests and partners. I also wrote applications for funding, established relationships with funders and ran a grant fund. Increasingly I was used as a consultant to advise other organisations on funding and community development issues and I was also subcontracted to the Church Urban fund as a grants assessor across England.
