Lead a group of technical Integrators/Project Managers to execute EMD contract for the autonomous, carrier-based refueling aircraft. These high performance individuals work to fill organizational gaps associated with hardware. Specific tasks being worked include: Iron Bird and Fuel Rig coordination and testing; MAA Factory Activation; Obsolescence; E3 requirements development and implementation; Hardware qualification; Fuel foam incorporation.
Senior manager responsible for activities associated with the MQ-25 T1 Prototype aircraft. Aircraft demonstrated first-ever aerial refueling of manned platforms (F/A-18 E/F, E-2D, & F-35) from an unmanned aircraft. Autonomous vehicle also executed significant envelope expansions testing within public airspace. In December 2022, aircraft spent 2 weeks aboard the USS George H.W. Bush while at sea, demonstrating deck operations of the future MQ-25 aircraft.
Served as primary technical leader for the development of the Kuwait Super Hornet. This aircraft configuration consisted of several large systems changes, including the development of the Advanced Cockpit System. This system was being designed for simulatneous implementation into both the F/A-18 and the F-15 and is a key attribute for the USN Block III Super Hornet. My responsibilities were those typically required of a Chief Engineer. I was responsible to ensure that all activities were completed on-schedule and with the highest technical excellence. I served as a primary contact to the USN F/A-18 Chief Engineer and was responsible directly to the Boeing F/A-18 Chief Engineer. I was Chief Engineer during the final design, release, testing and build stages of the program. I led a highly successful PDR and CDR with the USN. During my tenure, I also provided focus for a significant recovery of a drawing release schedule. Over 1,000 drawings required change and we were months behind when this problem was identified. The build of the first aircraft was not affected by late releases. I also led the resolution of releasibility provisos between the PMA, Boeing and the USG releasability community. I was also part of the team that successfully identified production delays and minimized future delays on the production line. First flight of the first Kuwait aircraft occurred after my departure.
