- Leading the L&D function with a team of staff and delivering a strategic development programme focused on performance improvements and the achievement of core business objectives with full budget responsibility. - Developing L&D focused strategies and contributing thought leadership on learning management and activities. - Championing the appropriate use of technology and blended learning for the delivery of learning solutions. - Taking overall ownership of learning interventions, methodologies, reporting, material design and learning requirements. - Ensuring the delivery of training / coaching which facilitates effective learning to achieve the desired outcomes. - Creating new leadership developmental programmes in line with developing a new talent pipeline for the business. - Undertaking management and control of the De Vere Inspire Academy, a purpose built learning centre designed to support internal development programmes. - Streamlining a range of training programmes to ensure hotels can access the correct training in the most convenient and cost effective way. - Managing all key partner relationships with a range of training providers, corporate partners, apprenticeship and development delivery partners. - Performing a re-write and re-design of a breadth of developmental programmes in line with commercial objectives. - Providing regular insight and feedback to senior management teams and sharing L&D metrics which support the achievement of business KPIs to demonstrate business impact. - Supporting business growth by helping to identify top talent, maximising their potential and promoting their development.
- Held responsibility for the group training function and strategic implementation of training programmes through teams of Operational Trainers. - Project managed the selection process and introduction of an e-learning system in to the business. - Implemented all compliance and mandatory training across the business as well as the design, introduction and facilitation of leadership development programmes at all levels. - Partnered with Henley Business School to coordinate learning events for Senior Executives and Business Leaders. - Delivered the first ‘High Potential Programme’ to a cohort of senior leaders within the company. - Successfully designed, introduced and managed the 2016 Graduate Recruitment Programme. - Developed a new ‘Apprentice Programme’ within Frankie and Benny’s to meet core business aims. - Re-designed the ‘Manager in Training Programme’ which resulted in winning the Bii NITA award for ‘Best Induction Programme’ in 2008 and shortlisted finalist in 2009.
