Serve as primary liaison for all Radiology Information Technology related issues and projects with hospital administration, inter-departmental leaders, physicians and physician offices, vendors, etc. Facilitate a monthly Medical Imaging Steering Committee. Maintain knowledge of industry regulations (JCAHO, MQSA, HIPAA, and ACR) as they pertain to RIS/PACS/VR. Attend various industry conferences and seminars in order to uncover knowledge of advancements and best practices in RIS/PACS/VR systems. Organization has recently implemented Epic Inpatient, and therefore obtained vendor certification in Epic Radiant. Responsible for the implementation, testing, training, maintenance, report writing, and troubleshooting of SIEMENS Radiology Management System Version 23 (beta site), SIEMENS Novius Radiology V26 (NEW), Advanced Medical Systems (AMS) for Materials Management and Accounts Payable, Softmed, 3M Encoder and Audit Expert for Medical Records, as well as interface integration with SIEMENS OPENLink at Dimensions Healthcare System. Coordinated the participation in a picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and/or digital imaging initiatives with implementation of pilot systems at two different sites. Developed working knowledge of SMS Invision HIS and utilize various office software such as Microsoft Office. Developed and/or maintained several HL7 and non-HL7 interfaces. Participated in several projects as an analyst or project manager. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital and outpatient facility with regards to Nuclear Medicine. Supervise outpatient facility.
