• Directs daily activities for the integrated teams for the area of responsibility within the manufacturing process of the Technology Bodyin- White. • Section Leader BiW Manuf Underbody: May 16 – Present • Coordinates an integrated team within manufacturing to produce a product according to the given specifications and standards provided by support groups within Body-in-White. This includes, but is not limited to: process sheets, repair procedures, PM procedures, and work instructions. • Implements strategic direction in their manufacturing team according to Body-In-White general strategy (HPBM/ BMW Business Model). • Achieves all agreed targets within their area, especially regarding: -Quality [Qz (internal/external), FMK points, weld quality, Chisel Check, Inspection/Confirmation, Containment, etc.] -Safety (OSHA) -Volume adherence (daily volume, service parts, trial cars) -Equipment upkeep (repair, maintenance, PM scheduling, TPM/TPR, cleaning) -Parts Supply (parts replenishment, parts delivery, fork truck upkeep, rack repair) -Budget (labor, overtime, scrap, etc.) • Leads Non-Exempt personnel within their manufacturing team including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Parts Supply. This includes coordinating Production Associate Relations and personnel issues, tools and training, vacation scheduling, and overtime approval. • Supports project work within their manufacturing area, including, but not limited to: facelifts, new models, project letters, LOP, 8D, quality support, and planning requests. Performs other duties as required by management.
Provides quality support and problem solving of existing process and part related issues. * Works collaboratively with internal and external resources to identify process improvements. * Create and implement process changes to improve quality. * Communicate defect issues to section leaders, quality engineers and managers. * Prepare report documentation for section quality meetings. * Manufacture gauges, fixtures and protective covers for tools to improve process quality. * Experience with ECCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT, SAP, APDM, OUTLOOK, IPSQ and Report Handler. Inline Reworker: January 06 – September 06 * Perform rework from all areas before inline station. * Enter and clear defects from PCSQ. Attack Team: January 02 – January 06 * Responsible for major rework on and offline. * Proxy for Section Leader during absence. * Team Schedule, enter Daily Reports, Reprint broadcast sheets, and check call ins and adjust schedule. * Development and training of new associates. * Lead team quality meetings during section leader absence. * Communicate with QSA to monitor and resolve quality issues.
