Direct and provide strategic direction to all operational functions (HR, Finance, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and Material Planning & Logistics) at a state of the art, unionised bottling plant. Develop, communicate and Execute short and long term strategic business plans to create an efficient operation focused on employee motivation & engagement, growth & innovation, continuous improvement, efficiency improvement, cost reduction, waste elimination, inventory reduction, asset management, maximisation of yield and quality improvement / customer satisfaction . Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure business plan objectives are delivered. Overall management (design, justification, implementation and coordination) of OPEX and CAPEX budgets. Feasibility, assessment and implementation of Sales and Operational Planning (SOP) initiatives. Ensure recruitment, succession planning, organisational design, performance appraisal systems, training and employees relations are managed successfully. Compliance with corporate policies / procedures and local legal requirements. Ensuring compliance to H&S, quality, environmental and food management systems in line with ISO18001, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO22000, and PAS220 legislative standards. Participate in the development of a Customer Centric Organisation SKU rationalisation and New Product Introduction Implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Initiatives in line with Coca-Cola Hellenics Excellence Across The Board (EATB) program focusing on performance management, Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) and KAIZEN. Held full P&L accountability for a component manufacturing plant (die casting, plastic injection moulding, CNC & Rotary index machining and complex automated final assembly and testing) generating revenue of $100m supplying plants in Dagenham, Bridgend, Cologne, Valencia and Australia. Responsible for maintaining and developing customer and supplier relationships to maintain Q1 & TS16949 quality awards.
Provided leadership and had direct line responsibility for all aspects of manufacturing, Quality, Health and Safety and engineering both day to day and strtegically for the Air / Fuel Value Stream. Provided direction to a team of supervisors and engineers to improve cost and reduce waste along the product value stream in line with lean manufacturing principles. Delivered a safe working environment with zero lost time accidents in the department through the introduction of safety walks and near miss accident investigations.
