I am a senior operational leader specialising in Health, Safety, Quality, Compliance and Governance within high-risk, frontline service environments. My experience has been built across large-scale justice and custodial operations, leading functions responsible for operational assurance, incident management, risk governance, continuous improvement and organisational learning across complex national contracts. I currently lead integrated Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance functions, working closely with operational teams, executive leadership and external stakeholders to strengthen governance, improve operational performance and drive a positive safety and learning culture. My focus is always on ensuring that assurance processes support frontline delivery rather than becoming standalone compliance exercises. Over recent years, I have led a number of transformation and improvement initiatives including incident governance enhancements, risk-based assurance models, audit integration, digital transformation projects, operational learning frameworks and data quality improvement programmes. I am particularly passionate about creating environments where operational leaders feel empowered to identify risk early, learn openly and continuously improve. My leadership style is collaborative, visible and pragmatic. I strongly believe that effective leadership comes from understanding operational reality, supporting teams to succeed and creating governance frameworks that deliver meaningful operational value. Areas of interest include operational leadership, organisational learning, risk management, safety culture, governance, business resilience and continuous improvement within complex operational environments.
