Driving a new start-up to support employee engagement and team performance in various organisations. We will be using bespoke software to act as a "Cultural Heat Map" for rapid intervention as a means to improve well being, team performance and company culture. So what is Engaged Intelligence (R) all about? Lots of managers and executives feel like they are out of touch with how things are going on the 'ground floor' of their organisations. And lots of contributors don't feel entirely safe sharing their opinions and their day to day frustrations... Until now we've relied on annual surveys and pulse surveys to gather 'confidential' and 'anonymous' feedback. But that's too little information, too late. Engaged Intelligence provides the tools to get the same sort of feedback in real time - as and when frustrations and successes occur. EI lets everyone in the company understand what is going well, and what needs improving. New role to develop UK Consulting Market for DSS Consulting in conjunction with the UK Team. We have a highly qualified team of consultants, with specialism in OpEx, Lean, Behavioural Safety, Process Safety, Capital Effectiveness & Sustainability. We are able to lead ESOS Assessments through to idea implementation of energy and waste saving solutions.
Eur. Ing. John A Cockburn-Evans M.Eng. C.Eng. F.I.Chem.E. Principal Consultant specialising in "Sustainable Operations" including Lean, Asset Productivity, and Process Safety Management Systems. I have worked in Russia for a large Petrochemical client, helping them develop improvements in production performance by developing a continuous improvement culture and eliminating waste. This has included developing internal Lean Capability, and driving Operations Productivity improvements, and general effectiveness within the process plants. This has involved delivering Lean Training, and coaching clients on improving their Uptime and OEE. I have also worked with a large client in Ukraine as the Principal Consultant, helping them improve their Capital Effectiveness process. I have worked in EMEA region on Process Safety Management with a large client, and Behavioural Based Safety with other large global clients, in the areas of Wind Energy, FMCG and Chemicals.
Development of Site Infrastructure after acquisition. Effective Capex Execution and initiation and development of a site PSM System. Work included bringing new products to site, and the project management for an outsourced production facility in Austria. Lean Champion working on waste elimination, and then the Production System Expert responsible for the implementation of a site Production System in line with Corporate Development Policy.
Responsible for Facilities & Maintenance for all UK non-manufacturing sites. This included tendering and outsourcing. Project Manager for the Construction of a $25 Million purpose built Combined Service Centre in Northern Spain. I also had a lot of fun with a team online business game competition called the Big Game Factory, after successfully completing Leadership Develop Programme in IMD Lausanne
Responsible for the Commissioning of a new Paint Facility post acquisition. Prior to that Chief Engineer for two facilities in Birmingham . Capital Improvement Projects (Safety + Infrastructure + Process Development). All maintenance activities including the installation of PPM /RCM in accordance QS9000. Process Development & the implementation of a PSM (Process Safety Management) System.
