About

The American tenor John Bellemer has gained a reputation for his strong portrayals in a repertoire that spans from Bel Canto to modern works and World Premiers. Possessed of a voice the New York Times calls "clarion-toned", he continues to appear in leading roles at opera houses across North America and Europe to critical acclaim. A performer of the lyric tenor repertoire both in concert and on the operatic stage, John has also appeared in films both feature length and short. During the pandemic, John added voice acting to his repertoire, studying and working with coaches at Edge Studio in NYC and has begun taking clients and working from his broadcast-quality home recording studio. John has most recently joined the faculty at Western Connecticut State University as an Adjunct Professor of Voice.
