One of the most beautiful things: connecting people Johannes Bruening combines a passion for sustainable mobility with professional project management and a love of working with people.
“One of the most beautiful things: connecting people.” With this motto, I am starting my own business and offer the following core services: – Project and interim management – Process management – Definition of requirements and creation of specifications – Knowledge management
I am pleased to be able to continue the long-standing and very professional cooperation with BSL Transportation Consultants in the role of Senior Advisor on a project-related basis and to be able to continue to contribute my many years of experience in project and process management and requirements definition as well as my industry knowledge to sustainable mobility solutions.
As I gained more experience, I saw and was given the opportunity to take on more responsibility, including in contact with customers. Still anchored in project work, I saw it as an exciting challenge to lead my team in a human way, to conceptualise and lead workshops, to explain and present complex content in a generally understandable way and to moderate discussions in a balanced manner - always with the drive to (further) develop sustainable mobility solutions.
The rapid familiarisation with new companies and projects, the careful research and preparation of data as well as the targeted recording and optimisation of processes characterised this professional phase and my entry into consulting. The contact with many different personalities, the travelling and the wealth of topics, companies and mobility products made this job so appealing to me.
With almost ten years of professional experience and various further training in the field of project management, I support mobilité in the professional handling of projects – my knowledge of the branch and my pleasure in working with people are part of the success here.
Planning engineer in the train control and communication systems division, train control department, for the underground railway signalling systems in accordance with BOStrab specifications. A very careful and thorough way of working was just as essential as far-sighted planning in close coordination with colleagues from infrastructure, operations and construction.
Leveraging knowledge from my studies, experiences from my internship, and the content from my semester abroad at RTU Riga, I laid a solid foundation for my thesis. Interdisciplinary thinking, good analytical reasoning, and a very meticulous work ethic ensured that my thesis titled „Development of a planning guideline for safety-related cable planning at Hamburger Hochbahn“ meets the standards of a thesis. Rated as „excellent“ (1.0) and honoured with the 2nd place in the Max-Brauer-Prize.
