Johannes Baensch holds a PhD in Chemical engineering from the Technical University of Munich. He started his career with Nestlé in 1991 as Project Manager at PTC Orbe (Linor). He moved to Singapore in 1994 to take the position of Process Engineer. Johannes then joined R&D Lisieux as Centre Head in 1996 and he successfully managed to transform this R&D Centre into a Product Technology Centre (PTC). In 2001, he took over the responsibility of Head of PTC Orbe and, in 2003, was transferred to the Netherlands as Technical Manager Nordic-Netherlands Region. Johannes came back to Switzerland in 2005 as Technical and R&D Manager Chocolate and Confectionery & Biscuits SBU. In 2007, he moved to CPW as Vice President Operations. In September 2010, he took over the responsibility of R&D Manager Beverage SBU, in which he has leveraged his strong background in Innovation, Technology and R&D, as well as his production knowledge and strategic skills. In 2011 Johannes was nominated Head of Global R&D. This was subsequently renamed as Head of Global Product & Technology Development, Corporate R&D Nestlé in 2015. Starting March 2016, Johannes took on new responsibilities as Chief Scientific Officer at Nestlé Skin Health. Johannes is a very senior technical and business expert who headed the largest R&D organisation of the largest Food and Beverage company. He brings with him broad and deep strategical experience of optimising and managing a multi-disciplinary global organization.
