As a Notfallsanitäter (NKV) with the Austrian Red Cross, the role involves providing advanced pre-hospital emergency care and assisting emergency physicians during critical interventions. The position requires in-depth training in emergency medicine, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, as well as the recognition and management of life-threatening conditions across a wide range of clinical scenarios. Notfallsanitäter (NKV) are authorised under Austrian law to establish intravenous access, administer infusions, and provide specific medications in emergency settings, ensuring rapid and effective treatment at the scene. Particular emphasis is placed on Crew Resource Management (CRM) techniques to support structured, team-based decision-making under pressure in dynamic and high-stress environments.
EMS Practice Instructor with experience in pre-hospital medical care training and supervision. Additionally active as a Public First Aid Trainer, delivering specialised courses on paediatric emergencies, laboratory safety (EHS), and general first aid—offered in both German and English.
Voluntary involvement at the Clinical Unit of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Intensive-Care Medicine in a research proposal aimed at developing an innovative ventilation strategy, including the preparation of the corresponding ethics application for the animal research component. A secondary objective was to secure funding for my own planned PhD student position.
