As president of the European Youth Parliament Germany, I lead the board of a fully volunteer-led organisation with over 30 years of experience that hosts 10+ youth conferences on European issues every year. My tasks include overseeing the work of the board, steering the strategic development of the organisation, representing the organisation to external partners, managing three full-time employees, and supporting in fundraising efforts.
As Board Member, I am responsible for overseeing and coordinating the fundraising activities of EYP Germany. This includes: - maintaining relationships with the organisation's existing financial partners, both institutional and private, - acquiring new sponsorships and ensuring the financing of EYP Germany's sessions and events, - overseeing the long-term strategic development of EYP Germany's fundraising, - leading the work of several fundraising teams.
As Project Manager of the Local European Youth Event (EYE) Berlin 2024, I co-led a team of 20+ volunteers in the organisation of the three day-event, which gathered nearly 2,000 people in Berlin in the run-up to the European Election 2024. My tasks included collaborating directly with the Youth Outreach Unit and German Liaison Office of the European Parliament as well as with local institutions in Berlin, overseeing the logistical preparations of the event, and preparing several of the plenaries held with MEPs during the EYE. Further parts of my portfolio were writing the initial grant application and the post-event reporting process. The EYE Berlin was hosted by the European Youth Parliament network and co-funded and supported by the European Parliament.
