In the Tomorrow Thinking podcast, I bring leading European decision-makers into my artist’s studio for conversations at the intersection of science, culture, business, and politics. A space of resonance that challenges how we understand our role as humans in a world shaped by society, nature, and technology — rigorous in its thinking, yet philosophical in its scope.

Johann Alexis von Haehling is a Franco-German multidisciplinary artist working across painting, sculpture, installation, video, and socially engaged projects. His practice centers on the question of how human beings can adapt and transform within shifting cultural, ecological, and technological contexts. He approaches art as a vehicle to investigate ways toward more life-serving paths, behaviors, and solutions. In 2026, a documentary film by Stefan Armbruster will focus on Johann Alexis in dialogue with Çagla Ilk, curator of the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2024, in the context of his recent exhibition at la maison, Baden-Baden.
As a Fellow of the Baden-Badener Unternehmergespräche (BBUG), I am part of an interdisciplinary leadership network that brings together decision-makers from business, science, culture, and civil society to reflect on responsibility, innovation, and the long-term future of Europe’s social market economy. The BBUG Fellowship is conceived as a space for independent thinking and project-based exploration beyond day-to-day operations. Fellows are encouraged to develop their own initiatives that contribute new perspectives to leadership, innovation, and societal resilience in Europe.
