I'm the Founder and MD of Cylogy Nederland BV. Cylogy designs develops, markets and supports software solutions for various companies based on Microsoft 365, Azure and umbraco technologies. At TKB I'm responsible for the overall Cloud (Azure) Architecture. As part of a digital transformation project, I set up a new Azure DevOps organisation, and migrated the TFS data, I designed and implemented three DTA-streets, consolidated existing subscriptions and (shared) resources, implemented a Hub&Spoke model, I designed and built a new DWH solution for both internal and external audiences, and I wrote Azure Framework/LZ-guidelines and policies on how to create new Azure-based solutions and how to migrate existing systems, applications and data workloads to Azure. All with a strong focus on security, manageability, automation and performance. I also co-authored related ISO27001 documents and coached the different scrum teams on how to adopt Azure DevOps and Azure, while keeping on improving the process. Based on multiple assessments, and alignment with the overall company strategy, I wrote and execute(d) an IT Strategy & Roadmap to help NMT International Shipping standardize, secure, and innovate on a global scale. By April 2026, I've achieved the following results, together with my team: - Developed and deployed a new and global digital workplace, based on Microsoft Entra, 365, Intune and Global Secure Access: standard, secured, supported. - Set up a professional global service desk team offering 24/5 support and replacing local ones. - Standardized the global service desk team on Jira ITSM, defining strict processes and separation of duties and permissions through RBAC. - Migrated (or removed) non-owned systems and applications, obtaining full ownership and control. - Implemented and enforced MFA globally. Added CAPs to the IT environments. - Improved the overall IT security on multiple levels. Wrote several (IT) Policies. - Started a Security Awareness Program for all employees across the 20+ offices. - Replaced the EOL network equipment with modern solutions and services. - Replaced the EOL telephony equipment with Teams Phone. - Hired two Leads for Modern Workplace Engineering and IT Services Engineering. - Introduced Agile Scrum as the preferred way-of-working. - Aligned IT activities with the Stena IT teams. - Developed a Data Platform based on Fabric. Embedded multiple Power BI Reports and Dashboards. - Assisted in developing a global intranet based on SharePoint. - Automated the onboarding and offboarding processes to avoid human error and optimize IAM. - Setup 1Password to store credentials and other secure information. - Migrated old websites to modern ones running inside Azure. - Replaced old printers to cloud-enabled ones using pin codes for additional security. - Developed a BCP and IRT. - and more recently started using AI services to automate processes through agents.
