About

I did my Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences overseas. I have specialised in (ultra) high performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and optimization of chemical separations. I am passionate about the new developments in machine learning and artificial intelligence, so the data science area or more generally the data analysis area are of interest to me as I believe to have significant experience in multivariate data analysis in MATLAB, SPSS and R. My experience spans from data collection, data analysis and interpretation (insight creation) of the end results; I spent several years applying these skills towards the quality control of herbal medicines, toxicological analysis (drug detection in fluids etc.). I also have 5 years of experience teaching on academic level (at the VUB university in Brussels) in pharmacy (field of analytical chemistry, covering laboratory assistance and supervision and statistics). My knowledge of AutoCAD, photoshop (and freeware alternatives) and other graphic design software helped me to communicate my research findings in presentations and research publications. I enjoyed travelling to Latin America and EMEA to present and discuss my findings with other colleagues. I am very much a team player, but can also focus on achieving the objectives of the department/the organisation and I'm eager to learn new things.
