As Chief Commercial Officer for Omnicom Media EMEA, I am responsible for the largest media buying portfolio in the region, managing more than $24bn in media billings, and serving our clients and agencies across 70 countries. My remit covers the complete commercial discipline: media and platform partnerships, media buying, digital activation, investment solutions, and revenue and commercial models across all EMEA markets. Following Omnicom's acquisition of IPG, I transitioned from my global Investment role to take on the broader commercial remit across the EMEA region. I first joined Omnicom in 1995, spending 17 years advancing through local and regional roles to global leadership. In 2013, I moved to WPP to serve as CEO of GroupM Trading (now WPP Media), before returning home to Omnicom in 2019. I am Danish, and I try to split my time between London and Copenhagen when I'm not traveling to other markets. In reality, I mostly just live on a plane...
I lead Omnicom Media's Commercial and Investment capabilities across 70 markets in the EMEA region, managing a portfolio representing $24bn in media spend. Adding to my previous experience in investment, this expanded remit includes accountability for all media and platform partnerships, media buying and activation, contractual delivery, revenue oversight and the development of commercial models and investment solutions across the region.
As Global CEO of Investment, I was responsible for all media buying and activation across Omnicom's media agencies (prior to the IPG acquisition). This remit included leading our global media and platform partnerships, and the evolution of our digital operations and activation capabilities worldwide.
I have the great honour of being part of the board of directors of the European agency association, as well as chairing the Media Agencies' Council with some of my best colleagues from around the industry.
As the Global CEO of Trading at GroupM, I oversaw what at the time was by far the largest media buying portfolio in the world, across all of WPP's media agencies.
WPP's representative on the board of TechEdge, where I moved WPP's engagement to a 49% controlling share holding in 2015.
