After working more than 10 years as Signalling Engineer (Technical Responsible of a number of CCS Blocks) and 12 years as Leader of the ETCS & Interlocking Engineering department, I’m Embarking on a new chapter as Deputy Head of - Projects Center. After more than 23 years dedicated to signalling projects, this new role marks a significant step in my professional journey. It expands my responsibilities to encompass projects across the entire railway system, offering a broader perspective and new challenges. I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and am eager to contribute to the continued development of our project organization. This position provides an opportunity to connect people, priorities, and disciplines—fostering the alignment necessary for complex projects to succeed. Leadership, to me, is about listening attentively, providing clarity, and empowering teams to take ownership. The true strength of our organization lies with the people on the ground—their expertise and commitment drive our progress. Our ETCS Engineering Department (90+ FTE) can execute all Design, Test and commissioning activities (CENELEC) in the magnificent world of ETCS (1FS, 1LS & 2FS). Today focusing mainly on the execution on the Masterplan ETCS on Belgian soil. Beside this huge roll-out package, we also have dedicated teams on ETCS Modification Projects and TSR Projects. A continuous growing business thanks to the deployment of ETCS on the Belgian Rail Infrastructure. An interesting complex work field with plenty of challenges, technical and organizational wise.
