I'm working as a member of the Business Intelligence team at the games company Bigpoint to support the company to get better knowledge about games and customers. My main interests are PHP, SQL, data backends and game development. I have a good understanding of KPIs and the underlying technical structures. The requirements and tasks of various departments such as business intelligence, games, CRM, marketing or payment are well-known to me. It is normal for me to discuss with stakeholders the requirements and to advise them. I have experience in project-based work as well as in ad hoc inquiries which require pragmatic solutions.
• Development of company-wide data backends for games, Business Intelligence, Marketing and CRM • Cooperating with big data team in planning and setting up a data warehouse in Amazon AWS • Setup ETL jobs with shell scripts and hive • Building analytical tools, distributed data environments and user friendly web frontends • Creation and optimization of queries (MySQL, HiveSQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift) • Responsible work with customer-, payment- and tracking data • Technical implementation and documentation of KPI definitions, funnel systems and A/B testing • Integration and creation of APIs for common Business Intelligence software (e.g. SAP, SAS, Salesforce, AppAnnie) • Close cooperation with data scientists, analysts and user researchers • Doing SQL workshops, review SQL requests and coaching colleagues
• Building and administration of a distributed tracking system to monitor the ingame economy • Development of a performant survey backend to improve customer satisfaction and retention rates • Supporting all departments with reports and ad hoc queries on game-, payment-, user- or affiliate databases • Technical implementations of a premium user selection for customer care department • Setup and maintenance of Tableau Server • Development of a fully automated import from raw csv data into structured SQL tables • Building self-service tools for colleagues to easily query data from different data sources (GUI, XML)
• Supporting Payment, Marketing and Analysis department with monitoring tools and automatic reports • Optimization of queries and PHP crons to improve running time and memory usage • Development of statistical overviews for management, analysis and game teams • Creation of reporting mails, automatied diagrams and csv with PHP and Template engines • Administration of the mailtool, transmission of customer mails • Supporting different stakeholders with KPIs, user statistics and payment behavior data • Technical support for Business Development to improve partner performance
