My passion for conceptualisation and innovation for modern technological problems has directed me towards the field of Biorobotics. The early state of the field provides a lot of ground left to cover, which enables me to interact with a large variety of other technical and medical fields. I thrive in a multidisciplinary environment, which is why I broadened my horizon with a sustainability and economic-based exchange in Madrid and an internship as a mathematics teacher. Through my experience in teaching and project-based education, I have learned to work efficiently with various parties and act as a mediator in the search for the optimal compromise. I enjoy the process of designing innovations and researching their potential. As a research assistant in the field of mechatronics and robotics, I learned to design experiments to validate new designs and share the progress in the form of papers and conferences. Since learning new languages is one of my interests, it allows me to quickly switch in an international environment, both academically and socially.
The position of research assistant at the Robotics and Mechatronics laboratory combines the nature of academic research with the link to hospital commercialisation. The position entails academic planning, researching hypotheses and publishing the results in conferences and journals.
I was an intern at Het Stedelijk Kottenpark to become a qualified math teacher. Here I learned to create my own lessons and apply and adjust them to different levels of education. Lastly, I was trained to develop more appropriate forms of grading and performance evaluation and learn to create accessible and fun methods to learn mathematics in an engaging approach.
The position of technical member for Energieloket provided help to people with their energy sustainability needs and equipment and give advice on ways to save on utilities.
At Humphreys, I was responsible for a variety of tasks within the kitchen, including lunch, entrees and desserts. I worked closely with the kitchen personnel to meet our customers expectations.
