Developed and proposed a new model for prediction of refractivity and evaporation duct height based on single-elevation measurements. This was done to rectify an error based on a wrong assumption in the existing radar propagation model, for elevations within the atmospheric surface layer.

I was attached to an Area Development Programme (ADP) in the Batticaloa District, primarily to learn about operations of a humanitarian non-profit organisation in the field. I participated in the 10-year evaluation of the ADP, and independently conducted a study on the effectiveness of a local Community-Based Organisation (CBO). My review was submitted to the ADP for improvements to be made in the CBO, working towards a self-supporting local community.
