• Responsible for financial leadership of various hospitality businesses generating +$100M of revenue while managing a finance team of 10 employees
• Act as senior finance leader & business partner to the Owners and leadership teams supporting critical decision making by providing insights and recommendations through analysis of company data, trends, market conditions, etc. • Lead all aspects of finance and accounting including AP, AR, cash flow, debt management, financial modelling, funding, investment, liquidity, payroll. etc. • Lead payroll and manage Sun Life benefits plan as administrator • Lead all business planning including BP, RE, LE and long-term forecasting • Oversee two 3rd IT service companies whom manage company IT infrastructure and services • Manage 3rd party accounting firm to prepare annual tax returns and reviewed financial statements • Manage both company’s financial resources to ensure adequate cash availability for large project spends, providing cash flow projections, advising of cash needs and assisting with the raising of funds • Review all accounting processes to ensure proper controls and assure the integrity of the financial & accounting data Accomplishments: • Successfully implemented a new ERP system called Acumatica in September 2022 • Outsourced payroll tasks to Collage HR to eliminate processing errors • Oversaw the launch of benefits package with Sun Life • Built the first annual business plans including PL, cash flow, CAPEX and project spending using best practices • Clearly defined a new AP process designed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of bill entry & bill payment • Reviewed on-site restaurant cash processing & improved cash handling by launching new templates & checks
