Ramp Agents ensure Ground Operations run smoothly and safely by supporting various roles “Below the Wing,” including marshalling planes on the ground, loading/unloading commodities on and off aircraft, and transporting baggage, cargo, and other flight essentials in the outdoor elements. Ramp Agents are problem solvers who enjoy working collaboratively with other Ground Operations Teams to meet flight departure timelines. Assisting airlines into appointed gates for downloading of passengers and bags. Also chalking wheels of the plane, front and back to ensure plane doesn’t role. Counting passengers for weight and balance distribution. This is a safety protocol for all planes and passenger safety. Checking plane for damage, on arrival, once parked. Filling planes with water for Lavatory use and emptying for reuse.
