From an exceedingly early age, I have been fascinated with the way things work. This has led me down a path of Design Technology at school and gaining an Arkwright Scholarship sponsored by Coventry University. During my studies I have learnt how to work with others in group projects and understand how important it is to allow people to talk, share their ideas and opinions. I am organised and punctual, with a preference to start a project thoughtfully but with vigour. I am comfortable at public speaking and believe I am a responsible person who can be counted upon to deliver high quality results. I have completed work experience with TWR Performance where I contributed to a motorsports project by using SOLIDWORKS and 3D printing to generate prototype parts to test for the development of a Jaguar XJS V12 engine, as well as assisting with servicing sports cars such as a Porsche 911 (996) Turbo. I had first-hand experience dealing with machinery, designing, and producing a custom pedal mount for a prototype car, whilst shadowing the staff to understand the design processes. This exposed me to problem-solving, whilst learning to use industrial standard fabrication equipment, which was an invaluable experience. Currently working within the industrial power systems devision for medium engines at Caterpillar in Peterborough. Learning from experienced engineers to develop my knowledge of diesel engines as well as systems engineering, more specifically ranging from FMEAs to data analysis and engine strip condition reports.
