I work at the intersection of technology, IP, and investment decisions. With 20+ years in photonics and optical systems, I focus on a simple but critical question: Does this technology actually create real, defensible value — or just look good on paper? My work involves: -Technical due diligence for deep-tech investments -Identifying gaps in IP portfolios that impact deal value -Evaluating whether technologies can be realistically implemented and scaled -Filtering out technically viable but commercially weak opportunities In multiple cases, my analysis has contributed to: -Avoiding licensing deals with limited real-world advantage -Expanding acquisition scope to secure critical IP assets -Strengthening negotiation positions through better understanding of technical and IP risks I bring a perspective that combines engineering reality, IP defensibility, and commercial thinking — helping ensure that technology decisions are grounded in what actually works, not just what is claimed. Technology only matters if it can survive real-world constraints and deliver economic value.
