A passionate and involved engineer at the University of Warwick, I aim to tailor my degree around engineering design, with the goal of creating a broad foundation to develop through student projects.
In charge of the engineering of Warwick Hyperloop, a student project of over 50 students. Responsible for design review and approval, coordination with the university, as well as overall project leadership and direction.
Awarded the mechanical ‘term 1 MVP’ as a result of my work on the lateral suspension design, alongside my strong team working skills.
Took charge in structural design, and developed the layup plan of a custom fiberglass composite body tube. Independently learned STAR-CCM++ to simulate the effect of airbrakes, creating a lookup table for the flight computer.
Successfully Designed the recovery subsystem of a two stage K-class rocket, despite unsuccessful separation at launch.
Led the team responsible for design, manufacture, and testing of the mechanical components of a G-class rocket for the National Rocketry Championship. Placed 13th out of 50+ teams, being the first Warwick rocket launch in over a decade.
Arranged two talks related sustainable engineering, run by industry leaders, conducting the outreach and event coordination.
Shadowed the CEO, gaining an understanding of the ‘digital transformation’ of the engineering space, in regard to the upstream oil and gas industry.
