• I was responsible for accurately scanning, bagging, and assisting customer's with their groceries, all while providing excellent customer service. The last person a customer interacts with before leaving the grocery store is the cashier. Knowing that a cashier represents the face of the store and determines whether a shopper returns or not, I made sure to always leave a strong and memorable impression on the customer to heighten their shopping experience, building on interpersonal skills and customer relations. • I was tasked with reading the weekly circular to familiarize myself with product sales and discounts in order to answer commonly asked questions by customers efficiently and in a timely manner. • I managed my cash drawer, reassuring that it was kept secure and in balance at all times throughout my shift. • I managed various transactions utilizing a point-of-sale system to maintain efficiency and keep accurate records. • I navigated any consumer complaints in a professional manner, and directed them to a specific department for any additional clarification to provide the highest level of stratification. • I collaborated with various co-workers and departments by returning items to their proper shelf space, developing strong team building skills.
• Enforced facility rules and made sure pool grounds were kept clean. • Took chemical readings three times a day, keeping accurate logs of pH and chlorine levels in the New York State pool inspection book. • Tasked with making sure the pool was kept clean from debris and leaves, making sure the skimmers were empty at the start and end of each shift. • Engaged and interacted with community residents on a personal level, building on my interpersonal skills. • Reported any inaccurate pH and chlorine levels directly to the pool company in order to adjust the levels to where they needed to be.
