Provided technical management and leadership as USS Alaska's Assistant Weapons Officer, Tactical Systems Officer, and Electrical Officer leading divisions totaling more than 90 sailors. Certified as a Naval Nuclear Engineer by the U.S. Department of Energy. Planned, proposed and implemented strategy to safely complete USTRATCOM’s first East Coast START Treaty missile reconfiguration of the D5 Missile System encompassing 100,000+ man-hours returning the submarine to an operational capacity ahead of schedule. Managed over 200 programs encompassing 500,000 man-hours of maintenance on the ship’s nuclear reactor and non-nuclear weapons systems. Developed a submarine career-recruiting program for over 100 future naval officers directly responsible for increasing submarine officer recruitment. Designed and implemented the ship’s radiological controls program managing 150 personnel, significantly lowering the command’s overall radiation exposure.
