A naturally curious and highly creative Writer and Producer with over 25 years experience in the industry in feature films, scripted and unscripted television. Most recently having produced unscripted and documentary television for A&E, ABC, ABC Family, Animal Planet, ByuTV, Bravo, Discovery, Lifetime, MTV, NBC, Oxygen, SyFy, TLC, VH-1, We TV in a wide spectrum of genres—comedy, competition, dating, family, survival, therapy and transformation including first season and franchise shows such as Married to Medicine, Married at First Sight, Doubling Down with the Derricos, The Bachelor Special: Countdown to Nick, The Bachelorette, The Biggest Loser, Kim of Queens, Monica the Medium, Naked and Afraid: Alone, Bazillion Dollar Club, Ivory Wars, Intervention, Obsessed, and Celebrity Rehab. Recently created, hosted and launched oh, health no!, a podcast featuring people who have gone through a health crisis, been adjacent to someone who has undergone a health crisis or been a healthcare hero. Was fortunate enough to start my career in feature films, working on the set of Backdraft after doing a good job on script notes on a conference call Ron Howard had with the producer and writer while a piece of glass was embedded in my eye. That led to working in development for Trilogy Entertainment Group and Kevin McCormick Productions. Transitioned into sitcoms and after a brief stint as a writers' assistant, wrote for The Drew Carey Show. Have written a few feature films, some short stories, and personal essays-- a few of which were published in the Los Angeles Times. Constantly coming up with ideas and developing projects because I love to tell stories! An information junkie and true people person who loves to collaborate, I'm also doing my best to help make the world a better place! Recently completed an animated pilot utilizing my background volunteering at North Central Shelter in Los Angeles.
Conceptualized podcast and built website, format, and focus from the ground up. Cast guests, conducted pre-interviews, researched, and wrote interview questions. Hosted podcast. Wrote trailers, intros, episode outs, and managed pick-ups. Edited entire episodes and posted to Spotify, Apple and YouTube. Wrote episode descriptions. Pulled selects for social media. Communicated with co-host and guests throughout the process.
Came in at the back half of the season to address network notes. Worked with EP and editors to address multiple rounds of network notes to lock Episodes 105-109 of first season show which included re-stringing out scenes, scripting pick-up bites and restructuring episodes while navigating concurrently changing earlier episodes. Created snap-ins for all 9 episodes. Locked and prepared episodes for online.
