An engineering leader and hard worker willing to further develop and expand knowledge and skills developed over 15+ years of relevant technical leadership and program/project management in engineering planning and execution, engineering marketing, business development, product research and product development.
Coordinating technical activities for high voltage, energy storage, and power distribution system for military automotive prototype applications. Main responsibilities include design, development, integration, and test automotive HV systems including HV batteries, DCDC converters, DCAC inverters, etc . Also coordination and execution of these activities between all company organization groups, i.e. procurement, finance, programs, manufacturing, assembly, test, safety, etc.
Responsibilities included planning, proposal development, scheduling, creating basis of estimates, cost accounting, and assigning tasks to other engineers. I successfully lead a government funded development program for an Integrated Starter Generator for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Coordinated and designed an upgraded power distribution system both high voltage and low voltage systems. I technically managed multiple hybrid/electrical power generation, power pack, and transmission projects simultaneously, while interfacing with executive management, government, OEM customers, and suppliers. Many tasks required skillful/artful internal organizational coordination between engineering department, purchasing, contracts, finance, shop personnel, supervisors, directors, and executive management, which I worked most effectively and proficiently. I successfully lead, coordinated, and performed proposals capturing activities for multiple contracts, internally funded research and development projects, and government funded research development projects.
Responsibilities included planning, proposal development, scheduling, creating basis of estimates, EVMS duties, cost accounting, and assigning tasks to other engineers. I represented GDLS engineering at 2009 SAE World Congress, 2009 Armor Conference, 2008 and 2009 AEWE preparations, and many other demonstrations to internal and external customers. I continue to provide direction, oversight, and technical support (internal and external) with other engineers for overall (electrical and mechanical) hardware development on all Hybrid Electric Programs at the Muskegon Technical Center. I continue to support and create proposals for all E-Drive related IRADs and proposal to the government, TARDEC, FCS, Stryker, JLTV, and others. I influence and produce program goals and objectives. . I represented GDLS engineering in preparations for, presentations and demonstrations of, the AHED vehicle at numerous events that including 2002 AUSA, 2004 AUSA, 2005 AECV, senior management demos, representatives from FRES, MOD, DSTL, TACOM, ARMY, and other demonstrations. I provided direction and worked with other engineers for overall (electrical and mechanical) hardware development for the AHED programs leading into FRES. Influences and produced program goals and objectives.
