A View of Jodi from 40,000 Feet As an award-winning events professional, I have produced and managed just about every type of event, exhibit and production imaginable, from large-scale events and immersive experiences with tens of thousands of attendees to television, film and theatrical productions, to intimate meetings with a handful of guests. The Olympic Games, Super Bowl, Grammy Awards Celebration, Presidential Conventions and 9/11 Memorial Commemorations are just a few of the events I have orchestrated. But in our current pandemic environment, the industry has been turned on its head, and our new normal demands that we reimagine the live events landscape. In 2020 I embarked on a journey to educate myself on the challenges the pandemic poses within the events space and become a thought leader in the areas of Covid compliance and safety. I hold 23 Covid-19 and health and safety-related certifications, including Covid Compliance Officer (TV, Film, Theater, Commercials, Photo Shoots, Music Videos), Covid Safety Officer, Health Safety Supervisor/Manager, Pandemic Compliance Advisor (Meetings and Events) and Pathogen Prepared Professional. To date I have managed Covid safety protocols on dozens of film shoots, theatrical productions and live events initiatives and worked with top brands including Amazon, Apple and Viacom/Paramount. Returned to stage management role from prior year’s engagements for the 2025 79th Annual Theatre World Awards honoring the best of Broadway and Off-Broadway debut performances at New York City’s Hard Rock Cafe Times Square. Prior year's award shows were held at New York City's Marquis Theater and Circle in the Square. “With little pomp and no commercials, it’s the best awards show you may never see – since it’s by invitation only." – NY Post.
Ensured all artists, including musicians, singers, stage hands, staff and guests were present, on time and accounted for and made it smoothly through Times Square security checkpoints for four live New Year's Eve Times Square events at Bond 45 (2021, 2022 and 2023) and at The Edison Ballroom (2024). Coordinated with NYPD Strategic Response Team. On-site stage management, talent and production management responsibilities from load-in through load-out.
Facilitated "Know Before You Go(TM)" educational programs to New York City Department of Education Schools addressing the risk of water in our daily lives, including environmental and climate action. Liaised with New York City DoE schools, managed school participant lists and follow up for this leading water safety education non-profit dedicated to saving and changing lives through teaching water safety and strong swimming skills. This school-based environmentally focused educational programming initiative has reached more than 38,500 students to-date.
Retained to manage Covid compliance for 30+ film and television productions, award shows, live events and theatrical productions. Advised universities, companies and foundations on Covid health and safety protocols. Oversaw planning, logistics, procurement and staff management for a company's first vaccination site. Clients included Prime Video & Amazon Studios, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Conde Nast Entertainment, Apple TV+, ViacomCBS, Jackie Robinson Foundation, Affiliated Physician's and the 59th Presidential Inaugural Committee.
Stage managed Matisyahu parade float for The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York’s 2023 Celebrate Israel Parade, the world’s largest expression of solidarity with the Jewish state. This year marked Israel’s 75th birthday under the theme Israel @ 75: Renewing the Hope.
