Women's Media Group is a New York City-based nonprofit association of women who have achieved prominence in the many fields of media. Our members—drawn primarily from print and digital book, magazine, and newspaper publishing; film and television; and online and other digital media—meet to collaborate with, learn from, inform, and support one another. The organization is also dedicated to mentoring young women interested in pursuing media careers.
A Futurist is defined as a person who studies the future and makes predictions about it based on current trends. While still a relatively small part of the population, more Americans than ever identify as multiracial. As a biracial woman in America, I am the Culture Futurist and Founder of BLENDiD, a lifestyle and community platform that brings together individuals with biracial and multiracial backgrounds from all around the world. Our mission is to foster connection, create personalized content, and build a vibrant network. Individuals with two or more racial identities can often be perceived as being at odds with differing sides however, they are seen by some as a symbol of hope for a future of racial harmony. BLENDiD gives voice to the biracial and multiracial community that is so often misunderstood, misrepresented, and voiceless.
