As a Product Performance Manager at Vax my role included: - Evolving into an owner of Product Performance Claims, for all products, across entire product lifetime; from cradle to grave. (Floorcare, Air Treatment and CSA). - Consistently delivered and ensured robust substantiation was made available before Vax, Dirt Devil or Oreck shared any product performance claims with customers or consumers. - Drove the implementation of a new Performance and Claims Process while working closely with Legal to ensure the process was robust and appropriate for all departments. Resulted in successfully avoiding successful external claim challenges for 5 years. - Created and communicated timely Claim Project Status and Product Performance Information Matrix's to project stakeholders. - Built and maintained relationships with Internal and External labs across UK, China, Europe and USA. Incl. visits to China to validate new test methods across Internal TTI and OEM labs. - Delivered critical information and judgement of data to Marketing, Product Management, Design, Legal, Insight, Programme Management, R&D and NPI, ensuring the presentation of data was optimised for the relevant teams and always non-biased, keeping consumer delight and stakeholder expectations in mind. - Worked closely with R&D, resulted in thoroughly understanding the impact of regulations and new Standards, on live and future, Product claim road maps. - Scrutinising and finding flaws in competitors claims and copy. Supporting Legal team and Directors during successful external challenges. - 4 years experience line managing and coaching junior team members. - Drove the delivery of new internal processes for consumer insights and implemented guidelines for conducting effective 1:1’s. - Responsible for presenting the P&C Process to the TTI Legal team in the USA. (Process planned to be introduced across TTI’s business units.) - Forecasting budget and tracking spend per project.
My responsibilities during my role as NPD Performance technician were: - Organise and conduct performance testing on all Vax and competitor products. - Schedule team resource and train junior team members. - Worked closely with R&D trialling and implementing new International Performance test standards to prove product performance capability. - Co-ordinate samples for External testing, ensuring test data was obtained to support performance claims. - Recorded and documented accurate test results and observations. - Worked with Health & Safety manager to write and track lab risk assessments. - Worked closely with Design, Product Management, R&D and Marketing teams.
My time at Voice 21 Magazine involved working with a talented bunch of creative volunteers, designing creative and engaging magazine pages to support the lives of young people across Sandwell Metropolitan Borough.
During my role as Baby wear Designer at Bounce Trading, my responsibilities were: - Develop creative and commercially acceptable illustrations for baby clothing, for retailers in Ireland, UK and Australian markets, within time and cost constraints. - Present designs to Buyers at Woolworths, Babies R'Us communicating the message behind the design. - Visiting manufacturers in India to understand from witnessing first hand the whole product manufacturing cycle and process capability and to improve communications with designers based in India.
