CNH Architects is a small to midsize architectural firm based out of Apple Valley Minnesota specializing in commercial architecture. While at CNH architects I completed two car dealership projects (Buick and Chevrolet) from the Design Development phase through the Construction Document phase. My level of responsibility included: documentation, project coordination, interior design, building code analysis, thermal envelope calculations, and client contact. Key to this project was working with national corporate identity standards and applying them to the specific dealership and location.
Discovery World is a non-profit hands on design and technology based museum. I am a part of their design outreach program. As a team or solo, I teach product design to all age levels through the use of non-traditional materials and digital fabrication methods. We improvise curriculum on the spot to fit the needs of the group, sizes ranging from small private classrooms to large public events such as festivals. At festivals, in addition to the design projects we offer, we promote Discovery World and the classes we offer. Safety is always our number one concern in design, and proper use of materials and tools is a top priority.
