I hold a Masters in Biology and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Zoo and Aquarium Studies from Western Illinois University. I have 7 years experience working in the data collection field and as a Logistics Manager. I have been in the Drinking Water and Wastewater industry for three years. I am a professional biologic illustrator and photographer and work primarily in pen and ink and oil paint. I am looking for a career in Museum Studies and am especially interested in museum facilities that house and care for animals.
Full-time zoo keeping at the Ochsner Park and Zoo in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Parks and facilities maintenance. Daily supervision, maintenance and health and wellness management of over twelve species of animals, including dangerous and exotic animals. Follow health and safety protocols at all times. Create, manage and perform a variety of animal enrichment tactics; toys, formal training, exhibit "furniture" modification, physical interaction. Exhibit a calm and courteous manner when interacting with zoo and park patrons. Effectively communicate with Seasonal Zookeeping team, Head Keeper and Parks and Maintenance Director.
