I have more than 22 years of work experience in Oil and Gas industry, from Upstream Production to Capital Projects, as engineer, Manager and Board Member. I started as a junior design engineer of hydropower stations and river rehabilitation projects in Portugal, where had the opportunity to work with very experienced engineering teams. Than, I joined ExxonMobil and moved to production engineering and project management roles in the oil and gas, both greenfield and brownfield projects. I had the opportunity to work in projects all over the world, from the Golf of Mexico in the USA, Bass Straight in Australia to Deepwater offshore blocks in Angola. For 4 years, I had the opportunity to have a leadership and management role as a Director/Partner of a 25 years old Engineering design company in Angola. . In 2016 years, I was nominated to serve in the Board of Sonangol EP, as an Executive Board Member. Sonangol EP is the National Oil and Gas Concessionaire with the responsibilities to manage all the oil and gas resources for the State of Angola. As a Board Member I had the responsibility to oversee the Capital Projects (Refinery, Tank Farm, Drillships, etc), Private Equity Management (Sonangol Holdings), Industrial Development (SIIND), and Real State Development (Sonip). In the last 4 months of my mandate I also oversaw the Concessionaire business ( more than 1800 KBD). During my stay in Sonangol, I also had the opportunity to Chair the Board of several consortiums companies in the oil and gas sector. I may say that my primary strength is the strong engineering background combined with management and leadership experience I gained through out my carrier.
