• Project Management of the Agency closure; includes completion of closure Accounts for Government, systems preparedness, HR transfer elements (TUPE) and laying of Accounts in Parliament • Managing the financial elements of repatriations of a number of business sectors and c.300 FTE into Defra and other Government Agencies; including reconciling balances, transferring debtors and creditors balances and ensuring auditable clear down of ledger balances. • Provision of restated and audited accounts for restructured company; involved taking already completed accounts for two financial years and extracting areas repatriating to elsewhere in Government for Agency sale
• Strategic management of Finance Group, which included resource and budget management, ensuring compliance with audit, accounting and statutory requirements for the whole team • Completion of fully IFRS compliant Annual Report & Accounts for CSL in line with Government accounting requirements and Parent Company (Defra) remit • Preparing the Agency for a merger – secretary for the Finance and Governance workstream whilst also project managing finance system changes and writing governance documents such as the finance manual, understanding the new business areas merging and training of those staff. • Management of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Grant Reporting, Financial Accounts and Treasury functions. • Designed and managed bespoke Electronic expenses module developed, tested and written in house launched to coincide with New Agency vesting
