Advanced Practice Provider - Dermatology Training Program (August 2025 - March 2026) • Perform dermatologic procedures, including shave and punch biopsies, cryotherapy, intralesional and intramuscular corticosteroid injections, I&Ds, acne surgery, ED&C, excisions, and botulinum toxin injections under the supervision of board-certified dermatologists • Evaluate and manage adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, psoriasis, eczema, alopecia, and inflammatory dermatoses under the mentorship of board-certified dermatology providers • Participate in weekly didactic sessions focused on dermatologic disease processes, visual diagnosis, and evidence-based medical and procedural management • Develop proficiency in dermatologic exams, lesion identification, biopsy selection, and treatment options
• Administered allergy shots, performed percutaneous skin exams, obtained patient vitals, reconstituted biologic medications, developed personalized immunotherapy vials, billed office visits and procedures, and trained new MAs • Assisted with trigger point injections, biologics, vaccinations, and scribing and educated patients on immunotherapy • Investigated issues affecting patient care and invented, planned, and implemented effective protocols to address issues and increase staff and patient satisfaction and safety
• Performed incision and drainages, extractions, chemical peels, cryotherapy, electrocautery, and microdermabrasions • Assisted with MOHs surgeries, wound care, biopsies, full body exams, cosmetic procedures, and scribing and educated patients on office dermatologic procedures and products • Trained new staff on front-office and back-office duties, and scheduled appointments, answered phone calls, called in prescriptions, cleaned rooms and medical tools, restocked room supplies, and collected patient payments
• Scribed medical history, changed wound dressings, and assisted physician with wound debridements, cultures, biopsies, and ingrown toenail removals • Supported receptionist with insurance authorizations, appointment scheduling, phone calls, and payment collections
Shadowed a renowned neurosurgeon and learned about certain issues, such as superior semicircular canal dehiscence (SSCD), brain tumors, etc.
