Deep experience advising CEOs, executive teams and boards on compliance and corporate governance matters and through contentious regulatory matters, including high profile regulatory investigations. Strong crisis management, project management, litigation management and stakeholder management experience. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large projects and high performing teams.
Jo was General Counsel and Company Secretary for SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited, New Zealand’s largest tourism, leisure and entertainment company (dual-listed on the New Zealand and Australian stock exchanges) with executive responsibility for SkyCity’s legal, company secretarial, regulatory affairs and AML/CFT functions. As Company Secretary, she was accountable directly to the SkyCity Board on all matters relating to governance and the proper functioning of the Board. Jo was a member of SkyCity’s Senior Leadership Team and a member of the NZICC Executive Governance Group with responsibility for overseeing the development of the New Zealand International Convention Centre (~NZ$1 billion investment). Jo was designated as SkyCity’s Chief Privacy Officer with responsibility for ensuring SkyCity’s privacy obligations were understood and complied with throughout the SkyCity Group and as SkyCity’s Disclosure Officer with responsibility for bringing matters relevant to SkyCity’s disclosure obligations to the attention of the Board.
