A progression of my previous roles as Director, Event Technology with Encore, my new role involves the oversight and of the operations, sales and financial performance of our contracted properties in Banff National Park, Canmore and Kananaskis, and directly overseeing operations at the Fairmont Banff Springs. This role allows me the honour of living, working and recreating on the traditional lands and waters of Treaties 6, 7, and 8 and the Metis Homeland of Alberta. I thank them for their continued stewardship and for sharing this land.
My career at Encore has allowed me to greatly broaden my insight into the hotel and hospitality industry as a whole. As Director of Event Technology, I am responsible for liaising with the hotel and our clientele to maximize event technology revenue while maintaining a viable and profitable business. Operationally, I am responsible for recruiting, managing and training of technicians, scheduling, logistics and working closely with the banquet management and staff at my two hotels to ensure effective communication and coordination between our teams.

Population centres in my constituency include Lake Louise, Castle Junction, Sunshine Village and outlying areas near the Town of Banff and along the Icefields Parkway. My personal council portfolio includes work with the Bow Valley Food Alliance, Canadian Rockies Public Schools, Banff Library Board and the Marigold Library Board.
As head of the Service Express department I managed over thirty employees and supervisors working in three divisions: In-Room Dining, Concierge/Bellmen/Valet and Refreshment Centre. My responsibilities included scheduling, recruitment, training, performance management and procurement, inventory and purchasing of both budgeted and capital items. I was responsible for making sure that budget, productivity and employee- and guest-satisfaction scores were met for my division. I also received extensive training in behavioral interviewing techniques.
Responsibilities included training and supervising a team of ten associates, checking guests in and out of the hotel staff, performance management, payroll and acting as evening duty manager.
Worked alongside the editor of YOU!
