I’ve been working in IT since 1984 as an author, in various int’l management and executive positions in channel-/product-marketing, BD and strategic sales-/alliance-management. From 2001 primarily in the field of infosec. Since 2010, I have also been involved in use cases capitalising on artificial language understanding (𝐍𝐋𝐔): – I conceived the concept for a method for ID-free targeting of online ads. – Based on my concept of contextual classification of unstructured legacy data at rest, PwC Deutschland developed "𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲", a solution based on NLU, which identifies critical content in unstructured data for further processing in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. I am building bridges to cybersecurity with 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 in mind. Here, I published a PoV with best-selling author Maike van den Boom at PwC Germany in 2021 dubbed "𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐧 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐭 𝐠𝐥ü𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧?". I wrote several technical books and publications. My current book „𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐆𝐏𝐓 – 𝐃𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐤𝐭𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝟐“ has been published on Apple and Amazon in German. With two new chapters ("Verhalten", "Vektor Mensch") and a significantly expanded chapter "Voreingenommenheit" this book provides suggestions for a constructive discourse with well-founded arguments and delivers an open, undogmatic look at surprising contexts. English language edition pending. I'm available for keynotes, executive sparring, workshops and panels. I've been a founding member for the social media workgroup at BITKOM. I was also a member oft the German Cyber Security Allianz and served on various advisory boards. As a „we-person“, I enjoy working with people, being challenged and interactively approach a solution in iterations that is supported by all involved. I have a proven track record of – building strong international alliances that generate mutual value, – remediating damaged structures, processes and relationships, – piloting and executing greenfield strategies, – building strong int'l teams and running them within highly complex corp. structures, – identifying (joint) value propositions, developing a working strategy and bringing that strategy to life – conceiving the stories behind and in front for internal as well as external execution
Im November 2022 machte OpenAI seinen Chatbot „ChatGPT“ der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Gedacht als eine einfache Schnittstelle zur Interaktion zwischen Menschen und dem gespeicherten Weltwissen, avancierte die Plattform schnell zur „Galionsfigur“ der Generativen KI und damit zur ersten Anlaufstelle für Informations- und Zeitsuchende. Bei all den Antworten, die seitdem schnell gefunden werden können, verstecken sich hinter der allgemeinen Euphorie jedoch viele, insbesondere unangenehme Fragen. Diese zu finden und zu stellen, hat sich der Autor zur Aufgabe gemacht. Wer Anregungen für einen konstruktiven Diskurs sucht und dabei Wert auf fundierte Argumente legt, ist hier richtig. Auch wer einen offenen, undogmatischen Blick auf überraschende Zusammenhänge werfen möchte, wird in diesem Buch fündig. Ein erheblich erweitertes Kapitel „Voreingenommenheit“ wird unterstützt von den zwei völlig neuen Kapiteln „Verhalten“ und „Vektor Mensch“.
After a 30 years hiatus, I resumed my past passion and started researching for a book to be released beginning 2022. I've just concluded a round of 70 interviews that will enrich the book by adding wisdom and fun. The net watches over us. But what does the net and all those handy gizmos and "Li'l Bulbs" do when nobody watches over them? What happens to my data when I exist no longer? When I'm just gone. On vacation. In the hospital. In the cemetery? When I start to forget. When I can't remember the password, but others do. Or don't. What's gonna happen to all my digital legacy? Who can use it? Who can access it? Who needs to have access? And who better not? And all that networked stuff, that carries on buzzing and flashing unwaveringly? The webcam happily keeps filming. The router keeps, uhm, routing. What about all those evil hackers who are taking advantage of the opportunity and kidnap unmaintained devices, networks and platforms? - From stunningly funny to depressing. - From laughable to sad. - From pitiy to "Schadenfreude" - Anecdotal and yet enlightening. "Coterminus" is a book project of Jürgen Schulze, which tries to give answers beyond 42, to the question of all questions: "Care about digital leftovers?"
